Cerâmica em Movimento - O Fogo que Transforma
(Ceramics in Motion - The Fire that Transforms)
“Ceramics in Motion” is a creative journey that guides participants from raw materials to artistic production, exploring ceramics in connection with other forms of expression. Over the course of 12 days, the studio becomes a laboratory open to the experimentation of materials and multidisciplinary concepts. Led by Bruna Freitas, resident artist at the Centro de Artes e Ofícios dos Fornos da Cruz de Pedra, participants are challenged to use clay as a starting point for an exploratory, creative, and innovative process.
The Fire that Transforms
We close the “Ceramics in Motion” program by exploring fire as a transformative agent. In this final stage, we will learn to build a paper kiln and follow the firing of the pieces created throughout the journey, celebrating this cycle of learning and creation within the community.

A theoretical session on building paper kilns, covering the principles of wood-fired kiln firing and the process to be used in practice.
