Days in the Courtyard - The Colors of the Courtyard
“Days in the Courtyard” is a program that includes workshops for families and the sharing of wonderful culinary recipes, inspired by and, whenever possible, held in one of the most beautiful spaces of the Casa da Memória: the Courtyard. In this place, conducive to reflection, pleasant and intimate, or through the large window of the “Other Futures” section of the Casa’s permanent exhibition, we can feel the change of the seasons. Carried by the slow passing of time, we will gather with a spirit of sharing, exploring the senses and memories.
The beauty of autumn, with its honey, earth, rust, and moss tones, invites us to slow down and look inward. In this ceramics workshop, we will observe the leaves around us—the diversity of species, the process of chromatic transformation, shapes, and textures—as well as become aware of the various sensations they convey. We will feel the clay in our hands, creating slabs of clay or stoneware, playing with colors, and immortalizing their forms. The courtyard of Casa da Memória will be our place of inspiration.
