Short Embroidery is a participatory, multidisciplinary project aimed at creating a short film collaboratively using the stop-motion technique. The film is intended to circulate in festivals and cinema events. Filmmakers Patrícia Rodrigues and Joana Nogueira will work in partnership with certified embroiderers to develop an artistic residency with communities in Guimarães, producing a piece that blends tradition and contemporary practice. The project is based on Guimarães Embroidery, yet builds a narrative that is meaningful both to the local territory and the participants involved.
