FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER, 19H30
Psychedelic blues from the Niger desert, that come to us via Brussels. The Kel Assouf band, from Belgium, recreates the tradition of Tuareg guitars. The band’s creator, Anana Harouna, has lived in Brussels since 2006, after a long period of exile. Since then, he has explored various musical styles and formulae, bringing together musicians from Africa and Europe, with whom he has recorded three albums, ranging from traditional music to pure and hard rock. The band’s most recent album, “Black Tenere”, was released in 2019. The melodies and rhythms are directly inspired by Berber music, and its short musical phrases are arranged in the scales and rhythms of traditional keltamasheq music.
