De mão em mão
With “From Hand to Hand”, the aim is to ensure the transmission of the know-how associated with making the Cantarinha dos Namorados of Guimarães, seeking to share access to traditional pottery techniques while developing practical skills across different levels of experience. This systematic effort will help build a foundation of technical knowledge within the local community and empower new practitioners to preserve traditional techniques.
In this context, activities on Ceramic Decoration and Innovation in Ceramics will be carried out, specifically aimed at students from the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho.
The Centro de Artes e Ofícios dos Fornos da Cruz de Pedra will function as an Open Studio for anyone who wishes to enter; and efforts will be made to reach even the most distant places through Creative Tourism.
