Linha de Código
“Linha de Código” is based on the project “O traço e a linha”, developed in 2022 by Cecília Lages. Its goal is to collaboratively create, together with certified artisans, tools that enable them to design new patterns while simultaneously capturing the attention of the general public—whose awareness and appreciation are essential for valuing this ancestral art form, the Bordado de Guimarães.
“Linha de Código” will be a web platform for creating Guimarães embroidery designs, built from a gallery of individual elements previously collected in “O traço e a linha.”
In practical terms, the development of the web application will result from defining programming parameters that allow users to create an embroidery composition, which can then be printed and subsequently embroidered.
